What's New in v2

Version 2 is a cleaner, richer API on its own subdomain. The v1 API keeps working, so you can migrate whenever you like.

New base URL​

New endpoints​

  • History — value history per item from MM2Values and Supreme Values, with period and source filters.
  • Meta — last_updated, dataset totals and last-run stats.

Improvements​

  • Smarter item lookup — /v2/items/{slug} matches on slug and acronym, case-insensitive (corrupt = Corrupt = CORR).
  • Smarter set lookup — /v2/sets/{ident} resolves by set name or by the items inside the set, so celestial and constellation reach the same set.
  • Richer item data — items now include range, event_name, description, fandom_url and a per-item last_updated.
  • Authentication is enforced on every data endpoint (in v1 it was not consistently checked).
  • No-cache responses — every response sends Cache-Control: no-store, so values are always fresh.

Response shape change​

v1 responses included a "success": true field. v2 omits it — a successful response simply returns the data (item, items, set, …) plus a credit field. Errors return {"error": true, "message": "..."} with the matching HTTP status.
